It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved Joe. He passed at home surrounded by his loving wife Shirley and close family members on Wednesday, January 19, 2022

Joe was born on July 9, 1931 in Fairview, PA. The son of the late Mary and John Estok. Joe is survived by his loving wife Shirley. He is also survived by his sister Ester, husband John McMillan of Lake City, PA. his sister Aggie, husband Butch Merkle of Myrtle Beach, VA, he was also survived by several generations of nieces and nephews that he and his wife Shirley have nurtured, influenced, and loved as if they were their own children.

Joe was predeceased by his brothers Steve Estok of Fairview, PA., and Edward Estok of Grand Ridge, FL also by his sisters Mecca Graham of Girard, PA, and Pauline Shaffer of Girard, PA.

Joe in his youth served in the Navy for four years. He then went on to serve as Chief Engineer for 35 years for the NY NJ Sandy Hook Pilots where he made many lifelong time friends. After he retired, he faithfully dedicated his time to the Milford Fire Department where he served as an ambulance driver and photographer.

Joe had so many hobbies and adventures. He was never a man to sit around unless it was for dinner with his wife Shirley. They enjoyed dining at our many local establishments. Otherwise, he could be found tinkering in the barn fixing anything as he was quite the MacGyver. He enjoyed going for drives, flying planes, fishing and hunting. He was always happy to invite you along. Joe's love for his hobbies did not stop with him. He taught many generations of family the art of fishing, hunting, and the love of the outdoors.

Joe and Shirley had a wonderful life together. Their 53 years of marriage were filled with love and adventure. When it came to dancing, they were the most beautiful, graceful couple on the floor. The family always enjoyed watching them do the Polka. As fast as they floated across the dance floor you could always see the loving gaze for each other in their eyes. You could see by watching them the world would fade away they only had each other and their love at the moment.
